Hi. I’m glad you’re here. If you’ve found yourself on the “About Me” page, chances are you’re either genuinely curious or you might be procrastinating on something more important. Either way, welcome.
Here’s the short version: I’m a multipassionate generalist who wants to leave this world slightly better than I’ve found it. It’s been a wild ride, and I’ve loved every messy, surprising, and frustrating twist along the way.
The longer version? Well, let’s just say I’ve never been one to stick to a single lane. I started my career as a hydrographer and navigator. Yes, it’s a real thing and I don’t just mean staring at Google Maps in the passenger sit. I moved into leadership roles in renewable energy. Somehow, I ended up as a professional actor (because, why not throw yourself into something terrifyingly creative as an adult?). Oh, and somewhere along the way, I became a pole dancer. Fun fact, it is harder than it looks. It is also one of the most empowering things I’ve ever done.
Now, I’m exploring the world of yoga and spirituality. From spreadsheets to stage lights to meditation mats, I’ve learned to embrace the chaos of being multi-passionate. Life’s too short to pick one box and stay in it.
But let’s get real for a second: I’ve also faced my share of burnout, boredom, and moments of complete “what-am-I-doing-with-my-life” panic. If I’ve learned anything, it’s this: life is about trying, failing, and trying again – with a little less self-judgment each time.
Writing this blog is part of that process for me. It’s a way to share what I’ve learned, whether it’s about leadership, navigating burnout, or finding meaning beyond the 9-to-5 grind. I believe the world needs leaders who think differently. Who bring empathy, creativity, and a little bit of irreverence to the table. And if I can help someone feel a little less stuck or a little more inspired, then this is worth it.
When I’m not writing or working, you’ll find me hiking in the hills, experimenting in the kitchen (still vegan, don’t worry), or diving headfirst into my next big obsession. I’m a firm believer in curiosity, occasional cynicism, and not taking life too seriously – except when it comes to snacks. Snacks are sacred.
So, if you’re someone who likes to think about, question, create a better world and occasionally laugh at the absurdity of it all, stick around. There’s plenty more where this came from. I’m excited to have you here, and I can’t wait to see where this journey takes us.
Ika
